Angelo Warner scored a career-high 33 points Saturday to lead visiting Morehead State to an 86-79 victory over Eastern Kentucky.
The Eagles (16-9 overall, 7-3 Ohio Valley Conference) moved into second place in the league.
Warner hit 10 of 15 shots from the floor, including 3 of 6 three-pointers, and was perfect in 10 chances at the free-throw line.
Greg Dotson added 14 points for the Eagles, while Drew Kelly had 10.
Morehead dominated the rebounding 34-20, led by Chad Posthumus with 13.
Eastern (17-8, 7-4) was led by Glenn Cosey with 18 points. Tarius Johnson and Orlando Williams scored 14 each, while Eric Stutz and Corey Walden had 12 apiece. Walden led the Colonels in rebounds with eight.
Morehead sealed the win by sinking 25 of 31 free throws. Eastern finished 22 of 32 at the line.
